Academic Structure

The Shishu Nistha Niketan is modeled on the Day-Boarding concept where the child receives a comprehensive education, designed to promote physical, mental, social and intellectual development. It has classes starting from Class-I to Class- VIII with a provision to add one class every year.

The Junior School build on the spirit of exploration and emphasis is placed on acquiring sound language skills, clarity of mathematical concepts and the discovery and understanding of Scientific principles. Through extensive project work they are given an awareness of the richness of diverse people's history and culture. The School consolidate and builds on the student's academic and social growth. As we strive for excellence in what we do, the school is constantly making endeavours to scale new heights by developing synergy between academic knowledge high moral values and sensitivity to the environment and the nation.

In all this, a rich programme of co-curricular activities, sports, dance, music, art, drama and hobby classes run parallel to the academic curriculum. To ensure this, we have a House system in which the students are divided into four houses:

1. SHAKTI
2. PRAGATI
3. NEETI
4. JYOTI

Each house is headed by a Captain and a Vice- Captain who take constant guidance from the House-Incharges. Inter-House competitions are organized in various sports, cultural and co-curricular activities. This fosters a spirit of co-operation amongst the pupils. On the final day of Annual Sports Meet, a trophy is given to the best performing House.
